AutoVantage is a total car care program that, for 25 years, has been providing members with 24/7 emergency roadside assistance and additional benefits and savings on automotive maintenance, repair and travel.

Who is covered by AutoVantage?
AutoVantage covers the primary member and the member's immediate family including spouses, domestic partner, fiance, dependent children living home or away and parents living in the household.

When does my membership start?
Your membership starts immediately. Your personalized member number will be active following enrollment which allows you to access all of your great benefits.

If you order AutoVantage via the phone, please allow 48-72 hours for our representatives to process your information and activate your membership.

When will my additional membership materials arrive?
Your additional membership materials will arrive in the mail in 2-3 weeks and will include a personalized member card. At any time, you may contact AutoVantage with any questions or concerns or visit the web site - www.autovantage.com

Where is AutoVantage located? Who is the towing company?
AutoVantage is located in Stamford, CT.

Roadside assistance calls are dispatched from 2 centers in Georgia and Florida. A dispatch agent routes the service call to 1 of 15,000 local towing providers who have been pre-qualified for professionalism, service and timeliness.

How much / Will I be charged if I go over my per event allowance? Other services?
Yes, a member will incur extra cost for exceeding the per occurrence allowance as noted in your Terms. Costs will vary by region. Prior to any charge, though, the towing provider will clearly explain any additional costs.

Battery replacement is not covered by the membership; only jump starts are covered. Some towing providers may be able to replace a battery at an additional cost to the member.

Tire replacement is also not covered; only the changing of a damaged tire to a spare tire is covered.

Roadside Assistance Questions

Who is covered by AutoVantage Roadside Assistance?
AutoVantage covers you as the primary member and any immediate family members including spouses, domestic partner, fiance, dependent children living home or away and parents living in the household. Plus, you and your family are even covered as a passenger in someone else's car! Plus, family members are covered at no additional cost!

Do you cover all vehicles?
We cover you and your family in any car or truck. Below are some details on what is covered and what is not.

We will cover:
The disabled vehicle must be a self-propelled, four-wheel vehicle, designed, licensed, and used for private on-road transportation, and includes only those vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 11,000 pounds (light duty vehicles, vans, SUVs, and non-modified light duty trucks).

We will not cover:
Motorcycles, scooters, taxicabs, limousines, tractors, vehicles with a gross vehicle weight over 11,000 pounds (medium, heavy and super duty vehicles), up-fitted trucks/vehicles, boats, commercial or delivery vehicles, antique vehicles (meaning vehicles over 20 years old or out of manufacture for 10 years or more), dune buggies, vehicles used for competition, stolen vehicles, unlicensed/unregistered vehicles, illegally parked or impounded vehicles, recreational vehicles (including self-motorized RVs), camping trailers, travel trailers, trailers and trailers used for towing, or any vehicle in tow.

What is the mileage coverage for towing? Do I have to pay out-of-pocket for towing?
As a member, you are eligible for the designated amount of emergency roadside events per your Terms, with towing up to a per occurrence allowance. You are not required to pay anything out of pocket for each event, unless you go over the per occurrence allowance. Prior to any extra charge, though, the service provider will clearly explain any additional costs

How do I know if there is roadside assistance in my area?
AutoVantage Roadside Assistance covers all 50 states. We have over 15,000 service providers that are available to help you get your car or truck back on the road or tow you to safety.

What if I don't know where I am when my car breaks down?
Don't worry, we'll find you! Our LocateMe® Technology helps capture your car's breakdown location when you call us from any wireless or landline phone, so we can dispatch one of our service providers to you faster and get you back on the road.

Can I request a flat-bed truck when calling for assistance?
You most certainly can! However, if a flat-bed truck is not available when you call for a tow, you may experience a longer wait time.

If my car broke down in another state from mine, can I get my car towed home?
Yes, however, if the tow expense goes over the per occurrence allowance as noted in your Terms, the member is responsible for any non-covered expenses and any expenses over the service limit.

Auto Maintenance Questions

How do I find auto care discounts in my area?
Members can find discounts for oil changes, new tires, auto bodywork, or anything you need to keep your car up and running. Just go to enter your zip code in the search area and we'll let you know what discounts are available. We have top-name service centers in our network, so you'll get service from a brand you know and trust.

What is Your Mechanic's Hotline?
We have a team of auto experts standing by to take your call. If you have a question about an unexpected repair or routine maintenance, just call our toll-free number and one of our ASE-certified mechanics will assist you.

Travel Benefit Questions

Do you have hotel discounts all over the country?
We have thousands of hotels in our savings network with discounts off the non-discounted room rate at nationally known hotels, like Best Western, Days Inn, Ramada, and Wyndham, just to name a few.

What deals are available for car rentals?
Members get discounted rates and other offers, like free upgrades and discounts on weekly rentals, with Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Alamo, Dollar and National.
